Continents & Kingdoms

The name Gaea (Gee-uh) refers to two things throughout this site. Most often, Gaea means the planet that is home to all of the people, locations, monsters, magic items, and more within these pages. At the same time, Gaea refers to the great mother who brought this world into existence and gave birth to all of the people, monsters, and gods who now dwell therein.

The world of Gaea encompasses several continents, nations, and independent city-states, all of which are home to diverse peoples who view the world in ways influenced by their religions, cultures, and the lands they call home. The most powerful of these is the city of Atlantis.

HAESLIOS

(England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales)

Once the home to the mighty Tuatha Dé Danann, Haeslios is known for its verdant lands and its people's connection to nature. Comprising four nations and several city-states, this small continent has a bite that is sometime much bigger than its bark.

KRIOSLOS

(Europe)

The birthplace of many of the gods and goddesses who rule in Olympus, Krioslos is made up of five nations/kingdoms. With so many deities to choose from, religion is frequently a topic of contention in times of strife or warfare.

EAGREN

(Asia)

Divided into four kingdoms, Eagren is home to many warring factions. A key component to peace between the kingdoms is the annual sacrifice at the Temple of the Fates which sits at the border of the four kingdoms.

ZESADAR

(Africa)

Little is known about the southern half of the continent, but the great jungles and deserts of the north are home to many nomadic tribes and a few great cities whose mysteries rival those of Olympus itself.

UATORA

(Australia)

This wild land of forest and desert is one of incalculable mysteries. Only one explorer has ever return to tell of their journey, and they were near death when they were found adrift near the coast of southern Eagren.

JAIPHORA

(North America)

The forests, deserts, swamps, and plains of this continent are home numerous mortal communities of every size and is known for its deep religious ties to nature and familiar ancestors. Some say there are even still ancient dragons and other large predatory creatures that wander the land.

TRIKOYA

(South America)

A continent of frightening jungles and thirsty deserts, Trikoya harbors some of the planets most mysterious and deadly creatures. The many natural wonders of this continent have made it a garden paradise for the cultivation of many herbs and spices that cannot be found anywhere else on Gaea.

VLUDRIA

(Greenland)

This land of boreal forests and magical wonders is well-protected by mortal and supermortal creatures who will protect the natural wonders of this land at all costs.

SUBRORA

(Antarctica)

A land of inhospitable environments, the frozen wastes and numerous volcanic peaks hide many mysteries and dangers that are yet to be explored and survived.

TIR NA NOG

(Fae Realm)

A plane of natural beauty and ferocity, inhabited by the fey folk and creatures who exist in both balance and chaos under the rule of the Seelie and UnSeelie courts. This realm is composed of four realms, most well known among them are the City of Avalon, the capital of Tir na nOg, and the Old Forest, wherein resides creatures only few besides Danu could ever name.

ATLANDIAS

(Atlantis)

Situated on a hidden continent, the great city of Atlantis is home to an advanced civilization wherein magic, religion, and science have given birth to a fourth sect of believers, those who put their faith in technology. The city is ruled by a Queen or King who oversees a council of appointed representative from each of the four sects.

UNDERWORLD

(Hades & Tartarus)

A realm of fearsome creatures, ferocious monsters, and mischievous Titans. It is also the final testing ground for those mortal who have passed away and not yet been determined for their final fate in the River Styx or a life of perfect bliss in the Elysian Fields.
